Microsoft Access 365 Essentials

Description

Welcome to the Microsoft Access 365 Essentials workshop. In this course, you will learn core database management, table design, query, form, report, and data connectivity skills using the Microsoft 365 version of Access. The course keeps the practical, step-by-step approach of the earlier Access Essentials manual while updating the interface, feature set, and terminology for the current Microsoft 365 experience.

What You will Learn?

  • At the end of this workshop, participants should be able to:
  • Create and modify Access 365 desktop databases.
  • Use the current Access ribbon, Backstage view, Navigation Pane, and contextual object tabs.
  • Create tables, select appropriate field data types, and use Date/Time Extended for DateTime2 compatibility.
  • Create relationships, enforce referential integrity, and use the updated Add Tables pane.
  • Build queries using Query Design, SQL View, and the Monaco SQL Editor.
  • Create forms and reports that use current controls, themes, and Modern Charts.
  • Protect, maintain, compact, repair, back up, split, and encrypt a database.
  • Link external data, manage linked tables, and connect Access with Dataverse and Power Platform.
  • Export or share Access data through Excel, PDF, and other supported formats.
